Watch the BC Eagles

Post by morphim » April 17th, 2006, 5:54 pm

Hello

Here is a web cam set up in an eagles nest in British Columbia, Canada.
It's a live sound and vision feed and currently, the birds are sitting on some eggs which are going to hatch any day now. How cool is that?!!?

Enjoy

Very nice. They've been watching it for a few weeks now on Popbitch. Seems to be a favourite of the "gayers" (as they call themselves).

Not that I'm casting aspersions ...

Strange, i just get a black square where the cam should be. Maybe its not up right now.

How is everyone anyway? Im having a nice lazy day off work today because i worked on Good Friday.

Munching chocolate and playing Tomb Raider legend, which was my easter present to myself. :D

Hey Caz

You have to click on the black window to get it to stream. Not very clear on the site.
Give it another go.

I used to love Tomb Raider. I did 1, 2 and 3. I have 4 (can't remember the name??) but stopped having the time to play it. I really fancy having a go. What's the new one like?

I have a TR game for the PS2 too but I just can't get a hang of the controls. The PC keys were like second nature to me so I didn't have to think about it. It was great.

Im really rather enjoying it Morph, I decided to buy the PC version this time all the others ive played on the Playstation. Its taken me a while to get used to the keys but I think its better. I thought you would be able to save at any point on the pc though, but annoyingly you still have to get to checkpoints, which is a really big pet hate of mine with computer games!

Me too, in FF and IE :? .

I haven't played TR in years. I loved the first two, and never really kept up with them from then. I had to stop buying games because I start trying to fit my life in around gaming sessions. My brother has started playing World of Warcraft one of those massively multiplayer online roleplaying games and I fear I will never see him again. Either that or he will start calling himself Grishnak and asking me if what level I am :? .
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.

The old TR games allowed you to save whenever you liked. This was great since you could save just before you embarked on something stupid :D Didn't detract from the game IMO.

I have a couple of friends who are hardcore World Of Warcraft players. Both are currently 'between jobs' !!

I know what you mean about planning around gaming. I was a bit like this with TR 1, 2 + 3.

I know what you mean. I'd sit down to play and before I knew it, several hours had passed

Actually, Caz might know this.
I remember now why I didn't carry on playing TR4. They introduced rope swings to the game and I couldn't work out how to jump off. I could let go but that just let me drop straight down. I remember you had to rotate Lara on the rope so her back was facing the way you wanted to jump but then I couldn't work out the controls to do it.

Having had the pleasure of a couple of encounters, I'd say Caz looks almost exactly like her avatar. Funny that

Ive actually recently cancelled my World of Warcraft account, I was playing it with my other half and some of his workmates. I found that after reaching level 60 with one character that the game got a bit boring and samey. I do miss the social aspect to it though.

Morph, In the new TR you can jump from a rope in any direction, although because of odd camera angles sometimes she doesnt jump the way you expected! I can lend it to you when ive finished it if you like? Not sure if i can copy it cos its one of those DVD rom types?

Cow, I thought you were going to shatter Pauls illusions then, glad you didnt! Actually your lovely wife looks a bit Laraish I think. :D

Caz, that would be terrific, if you trust me  (which of course you can 8)

I'd offer to lend you something back but I haven't bought any PC games for years :( Maybe I can offer you something else  (and no, I'm not being smutty  )
If you are serious, then please let me know.

When have you seen Cow's wife (<< what a funny sentance :D )
I'm thinking you got a wedding invite and, somehow ... unbelievebly ... I didn't

edit: I think I used too many smilies in that reply   8)
