I noticed we have aquired a few unwanted members, as in the last 4. Where's Morphim, to come and send them packing?

Leave clayaarroyo out of this. I just consolidated all my debt in to a hassle-free, monthly payment. Gosh, it sure beats worrying about all that money going out, and even less coming in. Phew!

If I remember correctly it became a problem for the Epoxy forum too. I try not to let it get to me but the world of spam, junk mail, junk faxes and sales calls could drive me to kill      What an utter waste of resources :x

It is so infuriating. Crimes that should really be punishable by slow, painful death.

Morphman

Is there an auto pruning option that deletes any user with a zero post count? It's been a while since I adminstered a phpbb forum so I can't remember. It would be useful and it'd stop the spammers getting free links to their bullshit on your webspace.

Not that this winds me up or anything.

Yo. Hello all. I have a mod to chop zero posters. Just haven't had the time to install it. I'll do it this week (hopefully  )

Pisses me off too.

Hello again

As good as my word (if a little late) the spamming users have been pruned. There were a couple of bonafide (??) users who got the chop but they never posted anyway. Sorry but if you want to contribute, you'll have to sign up again.

Cheers all

Moi :D

Did you ever do it Morph?

It'll be something you need to do before pushing the site forward. Or maybe having a registration system where they need to confirm an application via email etc...

Yes. The mod delete thing is in place but I do it manually, just to kmake sure no-one we like gets chopped.
I will initiate a visual registration confirmation code type thing but, as with all my poor excuses, I haven't had the time

However, Beehave actually is a photographer or something and the other newest members aren't linking to external websites so I don't want to prune potential customers. Maybe they can't be bothered to get involved because the forum's so shite
It's always a sunny day above the clouds : )
