Hello mate,
Just finished for Xmas holidays. Sorry I've been away recently, but my Dad is just back from 11 weeks in hospital in Newcastle - he had an operation on 23rd September, and has just got home last week. I've been up and down to the Toon every weekend and had no time to post stuff, though I've been checking in every so often.
Not sure what our plans are, as my Dad is still very weak - probably go to his house and cook for everyone. Just back in from Stirling where I was getting the last of Carolyn's presents. Other than that, nothing exciting going on here.
Will try and be more conscientious in my posting from now on

Nice the hear from you. I'm sorry to hear about your Dad but hopefully he's on the road to recovery.
Don't feel bad about checking in. I think we've all been a bit the same.
I currently have this flu thing and feel utter sh*t
I've had symptoms for a week or so but it came on full force on wednesday night. I think a trip to the doc tomorrow might be in order since I have a feeling i now have an ear infection ... just in time for christmas
Anyway, I'll pop back in when I'm feeling a bit less crap

Hey everyone, I am almost ready for christmas, just wrapping the last pressies now!
Sorry that I too have not been posting, I have been busy for a very different reason. I have met someone new and fallen head over heels in love! Awww I know its rather sickly but I cant stop telling everyone, thought I was too old for this to happen, maybe life does begin at 40!

Just a quick. self indulgent update.
Flu has indeed 'morphed'
into a bacterial infection of my sinus & ear, so onto antibiotics and no booze for a week. Brilliant, eh!
Also, Doc said my tonsils were also slightly inflamed. Despite this, they were OK this morning but hurt like hell now.
Hopefully the meds will kick in in the next day or so (fingers crossed)
Anyway, back to the real world: that's great news Caz. I'm very happy for you. Have a spanking christmas (if you know what i mean?? )

Firstly, sorry to hear about your Dad P. Hope things pick up so best wishes to the family.
I've not been around much because I've taken time out to build a house. All going well except for builders leaving nails and screws lying about on the driveway. Result below...
