VW posters - feedback needed

Hello

I'm in the process of trying to create old Volkswagen posters similar to the Porsche ones I did, but I need some help. I'm not sure i like them as much as the porsche ones but i don't know why?? Something is lacking.

Also, the text is giving me a headache. I definitely need the 'volkswagen' text but not sure what else to include. It probably needs someone with a knowlwdge of the models and names (like Cow perhaps) to fully apprecite what I'm on about but anyone with ideas is welcome :D

Basically, the old Beetle was the Type 1, as was another model, designed on the Beetle chassis but with a totally different body, called the Karmann Ghia
The vans, buses and campers (split front screen and bay front window - as shown below) were the Type 2's. Then there were a range of different shaped cars know as Type 3s (Fastback, Notchback and Variant (estate)
I'm not sure which of the above info to include / omit?

Anyway, sorry for the tedious education lesson

Here's the images so far >>

although nice, your right there is something wrong, I think its the VW images, they look separate from the poster, more so the first one, the shadow on the green at the btm looks wrong or not merged enough etc and the style of the shadow and the window reflection seems not to below to the rest of the poster.

Well not much of an expert but thats my 2 penth :D

I like them, but not as much as the Porsche ones - at the moment at least. I'd be tempted to leave the 'split screen' and 'bay window' text off. I'd guess that if someone appreciates the T2 line, they wont need the line above it.

Don't forget to contact me about my good idea, it's related.

I do think the text is a problem; too much info?? But maybe the layout isn't helping.

Simon - maybe the images do need a tweek too. I'm going to have a fiddle today and see where I get.

Cheers for the replies. :D

Front view. I've added a logo behind. What do you think??

The only thing I will add ( that I've just noticed) is that the logo kind of destroys the illusion of the car sitting on a flat plane. Might have already answered my question then
