Streamlining main topics

OK. I've decided to compact the main headings so the main index page is smaller. I've not done this before but just be aware that things may -

a. Change
b. Go wrong

Hold onto your pants

OK. The horrors I've just instigated are only temporary.
I need to put a bit of thought into this. I've not done anything like that since 1973 so bear with me.
