I have been fiddling about with the most basic of basics of MySQL and PHP. Now, I was enjoying it all immensely until I could not connect to the database locally (not to mention virtual directories not behaving?). Anyway I went through a minute checklist of things and tried to amend them all. No joy, and worse still MySQL service refuses to start. I keep getting a
message.
I'm using IIS because that is what my current server uses (I might change in the near future). Has anyone come across this before. It's really pissing me off, because just as I was starting to get my teeth into MySQL it all goes pear shaped.
Thanks guys.
Owen.
