It came to me why we have so little activity here.

I'm guessing that most here have a decent degree of knowledge and a good skillset and don't need to ask dumbass questions at the rate of one a minute, as they do on that other forum. Even Simon got over that little stage of development
This one isn't full of kiddies trying to be something they're not, who still believe the creative industry will pay their bills immediately once fresh from university. Then realising they know only a little more than zero and have no real working or client experience. I know it's only natural for them to be eager and ask questions constantly, it just gets on my tits.

That said though, it doesn't mean we can't share opinion, ideas and communication. Where is everybody anyway?

What would you quote for me to tell him to tell them??I can do most of this stuff but what do you think it's worth (total ball park) Most of the sites I've ever done have been for peanuts (and cashews, which I love.)

re: forum: I think the main thing that keeps a forum running well are the number of users - more people, more interaction more of the time.

However, I also think that people find a natural use cycle of many forums. They start with much enthusiasm, then settle to familiarity then slow down as they realise they've seen it all before or their situation changes.
Many peple on the old CA join as students or wannabe's. After a year or two, they get employed and have less time or inclination to log in.

Hmm. There's a big difference between these sites as the first two (yuk) sites offer on-line ordering. The third, which looks better but has no ordering system and doesn't work in non-IE browsers would be far quicker and easier to produce. I'll perhaps give you a call later as I'd been meaning to speak to you about that printer

That's pretty much what i told him. I suggested, just as a rough guide, a week and a half for the non e-com site and 2 & half to 3 for the other two.

All a bit vague really

I have my printer now and it's f**king huge. Don't have any A2 paper yet though. It should have been here today so now it will probably be monday. Bummer.

It's on my dining room table (big solid oak thing) The printer makes it rock and sway as the print head moves. Lol

Still waiting for the police to try and get my money back for the other one
